Getting to Tübingen
Stuttgart (STR) is the airport closest to Tübingen, approximately an hour away by bus. If you are travelling long distance, you might also want to consider flying Zurich (ZRH) or Frankfurt (FRA) and travel on to Tübingen by train. (The train ride to Tübingen is about two and a half hours.)
From Stuttgart airport, take the bus to Tübingen main station. The line is 828/Airport Sprinter, the bus stop at the aiport is located right outside if you leave the Terminal 1 or 2 on the second floor. The bus runs every thirty minutes from 7.15am to 7.15pm and takes approximately an hour. Be advised that the last bus to Tübingen leaves at 10.15pm. (Click here for the full schedule.) The price for a single ticket to Tübingen is 6.80 Euro, which you can purchase with the bus driver. (Cash only!)
From Frankfurt and Zurich airport, Deutsche Bahn will get you to Tübingen by train. The train right is about two and a half hours. For further information regarding train schedules and for train tickets, go to Die Bahn.
Getting Around in Tübingen
